Programs and Activities
“Being a parent wasn’t just about bearing a child. It was about bearing witness to its life.”
-Jodi Picoult
PTO funds and volunteers come together to create a variety of activities that enrich the lives of our students beyond their daily classroom experience.
Morning Movement
During Morning Movement students will have the chance to come together before school to exercise, stretch, and get their bodies and minds moving in a fun and positive way. Morning Movement isn’t just about fitness — it’s about teamwork, laughter, and starting the day feeling strong and confident.
Each week features a mix of workouts, relay races, and interactive games that keep everyone engaged and motivated. Whether students love to run, jump, compete, or just have fun with friends, Morning Movement is the perfect way to build healthy habits and boost energy for the school day ahead.
Students must be registered to participate in Morning Movement. They meet weekly on Mondays for several weeks. The spring session will be held in the multipurpose room (the gym)and outdoors (weather permitting).
Students are dropped off between 7:00 and 7:10AM.
Approved volunteers are welcome to join and help.

Fall Assembly
The fall 2025 assembly, Dancing Drum, gave every student in the school a chance to play each of six different percussion instruments. This was a new and exciting experience for our school. The program was tailored to grade level with increasing levels of challenge as the students learned about rhythm. The program also incorporated some notes about the importance of good character as well as a chance to get a little dancing in.
It produced lots of smiles and the students enjoyed it.
Spring Assembly
Like Dancing Drum, the spring 2026 assembly will be another first. The Orbit Earth Expo will give students a chance to learn about space and the relationships between the earth, our moon, and the sun.
In addition to the stunning visual of seeing enormous blow ups in our gym, the program will also cover certain concepts that are an important part of our education standards. It’s bound to be a treat for the young scientists at our school.
