Open Board Positions

Interested in taking on a bigger role within the PTO? We’re looking for involved members who are dedicated to working with us.

All PTO Board members are expected to be approved as volunteers and to attend monthly board meetings.

PTO Board

  • Volunteer Chair

    Will be responsible for the recruiting of volunteers for PTO events and activities; may also recruit for school activities.

    Will work with other officers and board members to determine the organization’s volunteer needs.

    Will maintain a volunteer database of approved DCS volunteers.

    Will be familiar with signup genius or other platforms to seek out volunteers.

  • Health Promotions Chair

    Will be responsible for the facilitation and deployment of all activities related to health education and health promotion support of students.

    The most regular program this position manages is “Morning Movement.”

  • Kindergarten Grade Representative

    [THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED]

    Will work as a link between FES PTO Board, teachers, and students’ families of their specifically represented grade level;.

    Will serve as a voting member during FES PTO Board meetings.

    Will coordinate room parents when applicable.

    Will provide information to parents about grade-level activities and distribute notices as needed; keep Board informed of grade level needs or concerns.

    Position may be occupied by no more than 1 elected officer each term

  • Second Grade Representative

    Will work as a link between FES PTO Board, teachers, and students’ families of their specifically represented grade level;.

    Will serve as a voting member during FES PTO Board meetings.

    Will coordinate room parents when applicable.

    Will provide information to parents about grade-level activities and distribute notices as needed; keep Board informed of grade level needs or concerns.
